My skin is not particularly great and have had various skin complaints over the years. This photograph shows the discolouration left behind from (currently departed) psoriasis.

I feel somewhat uncomfortable in posting it as it’s not that pleasant to look at.

I actually managed to get out a bit earlier today to get a daylight photograph. It was a pretty bleak day and so I went for something a little edgy.

This photograph does not work so well being as small as it is above. I recommend that you take a look at this large version.

Here I am just after my first shower of 2008. It reminds me of some weighing scales I once met in Japan:

This series of self portraits would never have been complete without one featuring my ukulele so here it is in all its finery.

I only started playing the uke about 4 months ago and can safely say that it is the best £12 that I ever spent – the uke is an awesome instrument! It’s simple to pick up so you can quickly get going, it’s portable and ridiculously cheap. It also sounds great and brings a smile to everyone’s face. If you don’t yet own a uke go buy one today!

We stopped off at my friend Dave’s house on our way back up to Edinburgh where I made this picture. I was really drawn to the over-grown and run-downness of this location.

There is something that I have always liked about the light given off by public telephone boxes at night, like beacons. So it was here that I decided to make today’s photograph while still down at my parents’ house.

I’ve been a bit tardy in uploading the last few days photographs due to 2 days of driving back to Scotland and New Year celebrations, expect see the other outstanding photographs later today.

Going mad in a greenhouse.

I’m down at my parents house now and after a few real ales (Uley Old Spot – recommended!) and a couple of damson gins I thought that the greenhouse would be an interesting location for today’s photograph.

I wanted to make a photograph that was reminiscent of my early years in the concrete jungle of Chipping Sodbury. The location where I made this photograph is also somewhere that I lived rather more recently and found little affinity for. I hope that this photograph has summed that up.

Being that it is Christmas day I thought that something with a festive feel to it would be appropriate and I spent a fair while working on a ‘reflection in a bauble’ photo. Not quite sure how the maniacal expression came about mind.
